2021 West Hagbourne dragons

Happy St George’s Day! To celebrate, why not visit the celebratory displays in West Hagbourne?

They’re only out until Sunday 25th April so if you’re interested you’ll need to get your skates on and visit this Saturday or Sunday.

There’s no official trail but you’ll see a fair number of dragons on the main road through the village out past the nursery, including the traditional one by the telephone box.

There are also some in York Road, particularly at the end towards the footpath back towards Didcot. Some displays are harder to spot than others so do check all houses carefully.

This dragon has a scary nurse and syringe to accompany it! I assume it’s Covid related but you’ll need to see  the full scene for yourself (near the pond).

There are prizes for the best dragons, but sadly no afternoon teas or walks this year (due to you know what).

I think the dragon above is my favourite. It looks suitably fierce and has a prominent position to scare off village intruders!

Have you seen the displays? If so, let me know your favourite.
